How it's done?
Unravelling an Aurifil skein
In our kits, you'll find the skeins you need for your embroideries. Here's how to prepare them so you can use them to best effect and obtain identical, ready-to-use lengths.
- The skein is attached to its support by two bundles of wire (1). Remove one from the support through the side opening (2).
- Allow the skein to unravel until you obtain a ring of threads (3).
- Cut the ring close to the support (4). You've now got a ready-to-stitch pack of thread lenghts.
- Attach the pack to the tag as shown in (5)..
- To pull out a thread, simply pull 1 thread through the loop..
Tip:
- To keep your threads tidy and tangle-free in your drawers, braid them instead of looping them.
- To catch a lenght, there's no need to undo the braid: simply pull the threads 1 by 1 over the cardboard support.
